Google

Your personality compared to your search history.

View Comments 05 January 2006

With Google unleashing Search History, their Personlized Search (Beta), you can do the following:

  • Get the search results most relevant to you.
Personalized Search orders your search results based on what you’ve searched for in the past. Early on, you may not notice a huge impact on your search results, but they will continue to improve over time as you use Google.
  • View and manage your past searches
Browse and search over your past searches, including the web pages, images, and news headlines you’ve clicked on. You can remove items from your Search History at any time.
  • Create bookmarks you can access anywhere
Bookmark your favorite websites and add labels and notes to them. Your labels and notes are searchable later, and you can access your bookmarks from any computer by signing in.

Does the way you search compare to your personality type? If it does, would we see the Google Shrink or GPsych service some time in the future?

Frequent use of the Google services require a healthy state of mind, by determining your personality type based on your search history & the content of all email recieved in you Gmail Inbox. While interacting with your GPsych, your very own Google Psychologist linked to your Google account, it monitors your behaviour online and offers ADvice and GuiADnce.

GPsych will create a new folder (similar to you Spam Folder) in Gmail that will automatically move all mail that will negatively influence your time spent online (Eg: Invitations to non-internet or web related events like weddings or funerals)
