View Comments 12 January 2006

Internet measurement firm Hitwise found that 11.1% of all December shopping-related visits originated with Google, a 28% jump over last year. But online auction giant eBay was the biggest driver of traffic to shopping sites, generating more than 13% of retail traffic.

Search engines Yahoo Search and Microsoft’s MSN Search drove 4.05% and 0.79% of retail visits, respectively.

Strongly agree as the majority of site1 and site2′s search engine traffic comes from Google.

Am currently building a B2B site that is going to rely heavily on Google traffic. If you have any tips & tricks you’d like to share about SEO (Search Engine optimization) post a comment, If you have no idea what SEO is or how it works there a millions of sites that will help, my favourite being seochat.com. Want help getting your site on the first page of a Google result page post a comment too and I’d gladly be of assitance.

It seems as if most of the Spider Web posts are about Google, Mayhaps (=maybe+perhaps) we should rename the category to Google Web?
