Open source project to take Ajax mainstream

0 Comments 02 February 2006

Still 301′ing to yesterday’s post. Need a distraction, I immerse myself into my Web AddiCTion…

But with battle lines drawing on the future of rich Internet clients, something was bound to give. Like Linux previously, Ajax has become too popular for vendors to ignore.

Another hit?

In Ajax”s case, there is little need to spur emergence of a market, because the market is already there. In most cases, it”s been a situation of web developers taking the laws into their own hands, a strategy that Google Maps legitimized.

In site1 & site2′s case one cannot imagine what they’d be like without Ajax. Thanks Miguel, we were just starting to plan site2 and one day he said… have alook at this, it”s called Ajax. 8O My mouth watered when I saw Ajax in Action for the first time. I did this :P when site2 got a side helping of Ajax sprinkles. Site1 soon followed…

I am in search of local (South African) Ajax/Web 2.0 websites/applications in action not sites with Web2.0 && || (that’s PHP for AND OR) Ajax in the title. If you know of any please post a comment with URL. I’m dying to see a South African Ajaxified website I”m sure this blog”s audience would too , post a comment, as Google Analytics show quite a few people from all over, even Google-censored-China, have had a read.

Read the article that I have been Quoting above about an open source project to take Ajax into the mainstream.
