LAMP better open source code than most other OS code

1 Comment 08 March 2006

The LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySql and PHP) software stack is of a higher quality than most open source software, a study initiated by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has found.

The government-funded analysis by source code analysis company Coverity, found that LAMP featured 0.29 defects per thousand lines of code, compared to the baseline of 0.434 for 32 open source projects analysed.

When you are about to have a website developped make sure your developer uses Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP. Read the rest of the article about LAMP here.
