Wow! That’s the first thought that came to mind when I saw this.
Polymer Vision, located on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, has come out with a cell phone that has a roll out screen, granted I knew flexible screen technology has been out there for a while, so I probably should of expected cell phones to be one of the first technologies that should implement roll out screens, that doesn’t make it any less amazing to see.
Imagine what a pleasure it would be to surf the internet or view mulitimedia videos and images.
Todays regular cellphones, although they have internet access and can even have a web browser downloaded and installed on them, the screen is still hopelessly small for it to be of any real, practical use. This might just break any hesitation for the consurmer, like me, from using their mobile phone to acces information via the Web.
The screen rolls out to about 5 inches, for your viewing pleasure. Like I said, wow!
