The shift to Social Computing,Web 2.0 in the Enterprise (everywhere)

This is a short post that chats about ‘social computing’ in the enterprise. I think that the ramifications of so called ‘social computing’ can have great impact on businesses in the same way it has been bringing together communities on line.

The generally accepted basic tenets of Social Computing are:

  1. Innovation is moving from a top-down to bottom-up model
  2. Value is shifting from ownership to experiences
  3. Power is moving from institutions to communities
