R12,000 per person for a 3-day course is pulling a fast one, IMO. Look, it’s not like the information they’d be saying won’t be valuable, and of course if you spend a “mere” R12,000 and it makes you R120,000, then cool. But as courses go, R4,000 per day is really just greedy. They cut out a whole bunch of people who would have been happy to give you some money if it just didn’t mean that they’d have to go without filter coffee and 2-ply toilet paper for the next 75 years. The course I teach at the university costs under R4000 for 3 days, and my illustrious colleague Prof. Brown teaches a full NQF 6-7 course which actually gets you MBA credits if you pass, and that only costs R7000. Different subject matter, granted; but it’s just NICER to charge reasonable prices.
