Firefox Usage Passes 15 Percent in US

The open source browser commands a 15.82 percent usage share in the United States, and a whopping 39.02 percent in Germany. Australians are also big Firefox users, with the browser holding 24.23 percent of the market down under.

Looking at a local site, with 100% local content, with 90% of users coming from South Africa stats for 1 – 10 July 2008:

  • Mozilla (Firefox & co) 12.6%
  • Opera 1.5%
  • Mobile/PDA browsers 1%

This blogs users:

  • Mozilla (Firefox & co) 13.4 %
  • Opera 2.6%
  • Mobile/PDA browser (the furture) 2%
