IMM2.0 is organizing the Stromhoek Cape Town Bloggers Geekdinner. The list of atendees have skyrocketed and the speakers will be having difficuly getting their message accros. Time for some geek-loving people to assit…

I just got a quote from a Sound and Lighting company for a microphone
and speaker.
The rental is exorbitant! (R3800 to be precise!)… Not quite within
the budget for an informal geek dinner.
Do any of you guys perhaps have a mic and/or a speaker to contribute
for the night?

I just had a look at the list and the who’s who in the emarketing zoo will be attending. Do you people not have clients/friends/copratates willing to sponsor or even just having this stuff lying around for the odd occasion it is needed in the boardroom?

Time is running out for the microphone. If you can’t get one, I suggest that you contact one of the schools you’re involved with and ask their sports teacher if you can borrow a loudhailer. I know if will look very funny in a restaurant, but it will solve the problem of audibility. (This is not intended as a joke, although you are permitted to laugh.)
