0 Comments 28 September 2006

when trying to load mxitv5 on D500 it shows http error 503 or 400or 404 why is this?

The MXit forum it has reported

[Total downloads since 25 September: 578 332]

That was less than 48 hours after it was released. So what are 504, 400 & 403 Errors?

A quick look at wikipedia reveals the following:

503 Error: Service Unavailable – With everyone wanting the new MXit version 5 could you blame them?

400 Error: Bad Request – Either the connection between the MXit server and your phone was interupted (Are you using vodacom?)

403 Error: Forbidden – You are not allowed to access that page, usually displayed by apache when entering the wrong username & password on a password protected page/folder.

There you have it: What Error 503, Error 400 & Error 403 means. You can find the list of all the HTTP Status codes here.
