Mobile Web

www dot, dot mobi and ITweb

View Comments 25 October 2006

In case you don’t know what .mobi is, it’s a new top-level domain that specifically supports mobile devices. The premise for end-users is that sites that carry this domain will have been specifically designed and formatted for use on a mobile device and as such will take the headache out of surfing on the go. But is this really necessary?

Your Web AddiCT does not think the .mobi domain name is necessary, maybe mxit.mobi for when they cover the world.

What every website should be able to do is work with or without the www. http://itweb.co.za does not. Have a look at the comment regarding ITweb’s lack of www .

If the ITweb guys are unable to we would gladly assist. At least ITweb have RSS :) Read more about the .mobi TLD on ITweb.
