broaddand wireless internet woes

We’re in the process upgrading our open source customer relationship management (CRM) system, Sugar CRM from version 4 to Sugar CRM version 4.5.

Sugar Open Source

Sugar Open Source is the freely distributed open source edition of the SugarCRM software. It is a production-ready CRM system supported by both the Sugar Community and SugarCRM Inc., the company behind Sugar Open Source. Released under the Sugar Public License (SPL), you are free to download, modify and redistribute Sugar Open Source.

The new version of Sugar Open Sourceavailable for download is only 9.9 MB but we’ve been unable to. Has anyone else had a problem downloading the new verion of Sugar Open Source? Your Web AddiCT(s); have been downloading the TED Talks without a problem on our uncapped wireless internet service. When is Telkom going to install our ADSL?

The pic is of Miguel and I looking frustrated, Nicole our graphic designer took a pic and did some of her illustration magic :)

Did u select the self install option for Telkom ADSL? I did and in less than two weeks my ADSL was active, got my ISP account and it was sharp to go.

TYFYC Tyler – After an hour listening to Telkoms ‘on hold’ music they said something about the ports not being available at our exchange, infrastructure upgrades, and some or other blah.. blah.. copper cable this, fibre optic that… it takes up to 6 to 8 weeks wait. We’ve been waiting 4 weeks. The Telkom dude nicely said wait another 2 weeks…

I have tried running SugarCRM and vTiger. In both cases I could not get recurring appointments working. This was pissing me off so much I just removed both. vTiger seemed the better of the two. So I’d like a quick demo of how you guys are using SugarCRM when we hook up in two weeks time.

TYFYC Ramon – We set up the old version but the new version of SugarCRM is so sweet that we want to update it before then before using it to its full Customer Relationship Management potential. WE’re currently having problems downloading the update but I’ll stop by an ADSL user or Internet Cafe soon to download the Latest Version of SugarCRM.
