Ernst & Young and the the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship are looking for the South African Social Entrepreneur for 2007. And the benefits of being selected and Social Entrepreneur 2007?
Besides national recognision and media coverage, the winner will included in the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship’s global network of outstanding social entrepreneurs.
Acceptance into the network provides successful social entrepreneurs with financial and technical support for the activities listed below. Networking and resource mobilization opportunities for selected social entrepreneurs include,
- The winner will be invited to the annual Social Entrepreneurs’ Summit. Transportation, food and lodging will be covered by the Foundation.
- The winner has the possibility of being selected to participate at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
- The winner also is invited to the regional meeting of the World Economic Forum of greatest interest to him/her. Again, the Foundation covers the costs of the registration fee, transportation, food and lodging.
- The winner has the opportunity of being selected to the annual meeting of the Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum.
