2 Comments 20 April 2007

Your Web AddiCT has ranted before (part 1, part2) about the Bush Radio Newsroom Blog. This is not a rant about the Bush Radio Newsroom blog. The Bush Radio Newsroom have finally joined the conversation!

Four months into 2007 and there go all the predictions for 2007. Mayhaps a quarterly review?

Bush Radio have interviewed Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and posted the transcipt on the Bush Radio Newsroom blog.

Transcript of interview with Wikipedia Founder, Jimmy Wales who visited Bush Radio during his stay in Cape Town.

Wales visited the station as part of a tour conducted for him by Bush Radio Managing Director, Zane Ibrahim.

I have been emailed in my capacity as SA Rocks editor about the interview, but chose not to paste the entire thing in to a post or to use it all.

I have a question surrounding the bush radio interview: Why is there no sound file, actual interview, mp3 file, podcast of the interview? I can see them talking in to microphones on the blog, and I can see the title of the blog says “Radio” but I just don’t understand why none of the “Radio” interviews are made available online? That would be cool, different, interesting and worth reposting.

    Any clues?

The guys in the newsroom have been experimenting in trying to get audio and video on their blog (which i must say is used more as a free cms)… they’ve used you tube and tried odeo.

Any advice or ideas would be welcome as they are doing some great work and it is shame that all of it is not put out there.

    Adrian
