NAS began by saying “hip hop” is dead, and bloggers from South Africa followed up by saying Blogging is dead, and Paul Graham whom we learnt a lot from took that idea and concluded, by saying Microsoft is dead in his essay…

That trackback is from Maitha, is a prominent Kenyan blogger who blogs in Swahili (the comment is in Swahili) about the internet, music and other stuff.

It says:

then gives the links to the Jem Report and David Wheeler’s site

Second paragraph

“NAS is the one who began by saying Hip Hop is Dead then South African bloggers have taken up this theme with the idea that “Blogging is dead” with Paul Graham, who taught us tons about “trash letters” ( not sure what this means, maybe spam?) picking up the theme by then telling us that Microsoft is Dead.

The vagaries of language mean that my (poor) translation is not as interesting to read as the original Swahili.
