I agree with you on blogging. But with MXiT, I disagree entirely. It has more elements of destruction than doing society good or benefit. It causes disintegration in the name of new-tech and most of its benefits, if real and valuable, can be substituted in other ways that are more preservative than wiping out simple beauties of life like social integration. I see people all glued up to their phones chatting and they can’t even break bread with friends or strangers. And younger people at school are all focused on MXiT collecting boyfies and galfriends at the peril of their school performance. So much that sms language is surfacing in exams and school assignments. Now that is going to equal, to some extent, an illiterate nation that seems educated because they passed. Let’s not be in favour of all technologies for the sake of it.
But blogging, in short and general, has more benefits espeically since it forces you write, and in way, that is some sort of a good exercise as the writing there would be vastly different from the kind in MXiT on a cellpad.

That said, I am for the advancement of new techs, but things have to be rationed ifi they seem to pose danger to that which we depend on to define ourself as humans – live ‘in person’ contact (integration).
