Was sitting quietly at TED Global 2007 listening to Ory Okolloh’s story when suddenly something local pops up. It was a screenshot of The Times! She told the TEDsters of how they & M&G are one of the first traditional media companies embracing blogging and Social Media in South Africa.
Immediately grabbing for my Samsung D900 and jumping out of my chair to take the pic. Before I could take the pic Ory changed the slides but luckily it was out just in time to capture the pic of Afrigator on show for all to see at TED Global 2007.
So not only did Ory mention Afrigator but also The Times. Thank you Ory for showcasing two South African social media projects at tedglobal2007.
