On 21 May 2007 Tyler reported that there were 50 000 facebook users on the South African newtwork. One month later and the South African network is about to hit 100 000.
Facebook use doubles in South Africa in 30 days. Believe it. I’ve been watching the stats climb on the South African facebook network very closely. There were just over 96 000 facebook users registered on the South Affrican facebook network yesterday. Today we have 98 011 South African users on fabcebook and those are only the ones who have shared their location with us on their facebook profiles.
Have a look at your facebook friends from South Africa and see how many of them have (No Network) set. Drop them a message or poke them and please ask them to update. Would be really interesting to see how many more South African facebook users their really are.
I’ve just refreshed the South African Network page on Facebook, make that
98 025. Of my 133 friends on Facebook, 95% who are South African, only 79 are shown to be on the South African network.
