There is another awards happening celebrating South African Innovators. The brainchild of innovationTOWN, the 2007 iHERO Awards is a competition that celebrates SA innovators from all walks of life, looking for innovators whose invention or organisation has made an imaginative or resourceful difference to the lives of ordinary South Africans.
Innovators are invited to enter their creations, inventions or projects by the end of August. Competition categories cater for entrepreneurs, small businesses, large corporates, government, NGOs and community-based organisations, and ordinary South Africans.

Awards include cash prizes and media exposure for all category winners; published articles valued at R100 000 on the most innovative submissions; and the opportunity to be showcased at the innovationTOWN exhibition at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Johannesburg later this year.
So, go ahead Entrpreneurs, Inventors and Innovators, time to get another feather in your cap and some assistance to keep you innovating, and keep making life better for us South Africans.
