Let’s face it, developing an effective web presence is no easy task. This means that, if u got an business model, or have a blog, and you want to develop an Effective Web Presence (aka EWP) in order to ensure that you build more traffic to your Site/blog would come at a cost.
To get you started with EWP, we’ve compiled a few (5 to be precise) but very useful guidelines to facilitate you along this very difficult path. Keeping these key instructions in mind, will certainly help you develop a massive web presence and a valuable online reputation for your site /blog .
First and foremost ,
- Settle on which goals your site/Blog needs to accomplish.
- Optimize your site/Blog to make it search-engine-friendly
- Make your site/blog sustainable by constantly maintaining and improving it. (Content is K.I.N.G) keep that in mind at all times.
- You need to be on the alert for fresh trends and developments on the web. (otherwise you will be left out without realising it).
- Also, be ready to take advantage of emerging opportunities and innovations on the web.
An effective Web site produces an attractive presence as well as meets the desires of its visitors, therefore, it may be necessary to occasionally tweak your business model by introducing new strategies in order to capture promising business opportunities, hence building an Effective Web presence which will result in an immense online reputation.
Oops, almost forgot, remember, Your Group of WebAddiCT(s) absolutely holds no responsibility if your blog/site does not successfully build an Effective Web Presence, however, a few acknowledgments would be more than appreciated if your site/blog manages to build an E.W.P as a direct result of the integrity of this post.

Hey Yebo,
Good tips. To build an effective EWP certain strategies need to be in place as you rightly mentioned.
One thing then to help me establish an EWP which has to do with optimization:
1. Your share “this” component includes the Muti link. I’ve tried to follow the advice in FeedFlare but I get an error saying that no such file is located at this address or somehting in that fashion.
Any ideas?
Point 4 and 5 sounds like the same thing to me.
umm…
not necessarily,
point 4 says, “You need to be on the alert” while point 5 emphasizes on taking full advantages of the opportunities
They’re not technically the same thing, but essentially, why would you need be on alert for trends opening up new opportunities, if not to take advantage of those opportunities. Point 4 presupposes point 5.
Interesting, and useful five pointers
Oooh, this is just what I need – even though I still don’t know what to do. Listen to what has just happened to me. I’ve been approached by a MAJOR international magazine (with a strong presence in print AND online) to become a blogger for them. The catch – and it’s a big one – is that they won’t pay me for my services. But since they have thousands of readers, I have been promised ‘major exposure’.
I’m incredibly flattered of course, and very tempted to say yes, but at the same time I’m a bit deflated about the money issue. I mean, they generate millions in foreign currency in advertising, so it’s not as if they can’t afford to pay me!
What do you guys think I should do? My family says I should agree to do it, but negotiate that, if they are happy with my work, that they then pay me a stipend/retainer after say 3 months or so.
Your thoughts would be appreciated!
I would also say negotiate.
If you’re a freelance journalist, you need to make money to pay the bills as much as you need to get exposure.
How much articles do they expect from you per week? How much time do you have to spend writing for them?
Would it be guest post arrangement? Where below every article you write for them you would get your details and a link to your website printed.
There are many arrangements that could be worked out than just you work for them for free and that’s that.
