Busy wwworking through the night and this pops into my inbox….

Hello Rafiq,
My name is Ariel, I am the owner of a blog called Today Is Not Over Yet, but the reason I wanted to drop you a personal mail is to let you know about this new tool I have just released that, hopefully, will help bloggers writing about blogging, productivity, etc, get the credit they deserve. Right now as I see it there are just few blogs getting all the credit/traffic, while the best content is not precisely there.

Zuggu.com is a ‘Digg alike’ site created specifically for content related to bloggingg, making money online, productivity, motivation, entrepreneurship, and related subjects.
Please feel free to add your content to the site and give me your feedback about Zuggu

I got the EXACT same email last night some time. I am irritated because Ariel believes that we are morons.
Firstly I wonder how Ariel managed to get our email addy’s? Secondly don’t fool me in to thinking that I am “special” enough to receive a “personalised” email and then send the same email to people that I know.
I probably wont be joining either. I need to play catch-up with my real life and I can’t afford another obstacle!

wow Nic, easy on your words pal. Lets start by answering you basic questions:
1-How do I get you email?
First I don’t recall sending you an email, at least not to the blog you post here (http://sarocks.co.za/) because I don’t find your writings related to the Zuggu content, what I did was probably find your blog doing a search on Google Blog Search related to the kind of stuff posted at Zuggu and contact you using the methods you offer in your blog, either an email or a contact form.
2-”I got the EXACT same email last night”
I am sorry I don’t have the luck to know more about your personal life, in that case I would have asked about your kids, your work, etc. As that is not the case, I wrote you an email about the only thing I know about you. That you write a blog related to technology, blogging, etc, thats the only reason you received the same email as other bloggers. Don’t confuse spam with this, I sent this mail to probably 20 bloggers I personally found searching the web.
3-”Ariel believes that we are morons”
Those are your words and just yours. I don’t know what I believe about your, didn’t take the time to thing about it, but I certainly don’t believe that about Rafiq who was still working at the time I contacted him at 4:40 AM.
About the Jason comment its a logical comment, your trivial content has nothing to do with Zuggu.

Lets not forget the fact that Zuggu runs on exactly the same code as SABlogger. Not that either denies affiliation with the other.. but why all the cloak and dagger sneak tactics. Is this what the web is coming to. Next thing you know Guy Mclaren will be posting links to Muti under another name.. O wait thats already happening.
