Registration for the first TED Africa in Cape Town opens tomorrow, the 1st of February 2008. The actual event will be happening between 29 September and 1 October 2008.
If you know anything about TED you’ll know that you’ll have to hurry up and get your registrations through as soon as they’re open, because they work on a first come first serve basis and availability fills up very quickly.
The theme? “TEDAfrica 2008, What if”
What if the smartest thinkers, greatest visionaries and most inspired teachers from Africa and the world came together to share, spread and nurture groundbreaking ideas that could help propel the continent beyond the tipping point into a new chapter of growth and prosperity?
At first I think the question “What if?” has so many negative associations, usually asked in hindsight, but I see the power in the question when asked proactively, so I’ll accept it and will look forward to seeing idea presented.
