Facebook less: Howto use Facebook without the irritating applications and ads.

Comments 17 February 2008

Getting off facebook is nearly impossible with everyone, even your grandmother, sending you pokes and friend requests.

On Your Web AddiCT(s); journey to be part of the Facebook community without having all your time and bandwidth sucked dry we’ve automated the import of your blog posts into Facebook, automated the update of your Facebook status with twitter and turned off all those email notification received from Facebook.

As many of you know, Facebook has a mobile version available too. Great for communicating or staying up to date with your Facebook friends while on the go. Facebook mobile has another use too: View Facebook mobile from your browser and you’ll only have access to the bare essentials without any advertising or irritating application invites.

When at your computer, instead of going to facebook.com, go to m.facebook.com. Uses less bandwidth and the application requests do not appear.

So, instead of saying Bye Bye Facebook, use the above mentioned techniques to Facebook less.

What do you do to reduce the amount of time spent on Facebook?
