Springleap – the countdown has begun

View Comments 29 March 2008

So you might be wondering what exactly everyone has been doing in the

springleap seo contest

.

The springleap seo contest was first announced by via the spingleap blog and eric’s post about the springleap seo contest.

Eric has mentioned springleap so many times when chatting to him before, I’m not one for blogging abut everything as soon as I find out about it so kept springleap in the back of my head while continuing with everything else.

Charl Norman was the first to post about springleap over at bandwidthblog on the 21 February 2008. A 2 week head start in the SERPs before the competition even started. Christopher Mills followed this up with another srpingleap post on the 8th of March 2008. When the competition was announced Bandwidth blog was again the first to blog about the springeap seo contest.

From registering funny springleapingspringleap domains and many posts about springleap all over the place. How would you keep track of all the sprigleap SEO contestants without having time to scour all the different content sources on the interwebs? My answer was to track mentions of springleap using BrandsEye, The Online Reputation Monitoring Tool, to do it for me :) It created an RSS feed for all mentions of springleap and added it to Google Reader. So everything springleap everyone does, Your Web AddiCT knows ;) .

An advantage in the Springleap SEO contest you might think? Well being one who always shares everything I’ve actually pulled all mentions of springleap to a squidoo page here so you can keep track of the progress too.

I’ve also used Vinny Lingham’s Synthasite and created a Springleap Synthasite page with ‘snapshots’ of Springleap mentions over the past couple of days.

Why one earth would I link to the closest competitors in the springleap SEO contest?
