Elite Mobile have been everything but Elite with my new Nokia mobile phone

I’ve had my Nokia N70 for nearly 2 years now. It is ‘upgrade’ time and thought I’d use the same company as last time who offer online phone ordering and upgrading: Elite Mobile.

So when my cell phone contract upgrade was due I went over to the EliteMobile website to upgrade/order my new mobile phone (a Nokia of course).

On 10 April 2008 Your Web AddiCT received an SMS confirmation from Elite Mobile…

Your order, ref no. EM-******-0 has been stored and is being processed. Call Elite Mobile on 0861 *** *** for queries.

While confirming my order on the phone with the Elite Mobile call center I was told that my new Nokia Mobile phone would be delivered within 5 working days. 5 working days till I receive my new Nokia sweet. The call was recorded so Elite Mobile have proof that they actually said that my new Nokia will be delivered in 5 working days. That was 10 business days ago and I still do not have my new Mobile Phone. C’mon Elite Mobile! Where is my new Nokia i ordered from you days ago already?

I wasn’t as lucky as Dave Duarte or Adii who blogged about the Nokia N82 and got one FREE. I’m probably the biggest Nokia fanboy around going through the Nokia 9100, Nokia 5100, Nokia 6110, Nokia 3310, Nokia 66something and Nokia N70 (ordered from Elite Mobile :( )

Two days after the first Elite Mobile order confirmation sms I receive another SMS from Vodacom service provider.

Vodacom SP: Upgrade quotation ******** has been generated

Vodacom are the guys behind The Grid and Liv.tv who keep sending me awesome shwagg.

ExciTED about my new Nokia I am. On Tuesday, 7 business days after ordering my new Nokia from Elite Mobile I send them this email…

Hi

It’s been 6 business days since my phone was ordered.

I’ve had no communication from you since then except an SMS from vodacom about my contract.

What is the latest?

My details are below. What is happening?

No feedback from EliteMobile on the above email i sent them, not even an auto-responder.

Maybe it’s time to give GetClosure a go and complain about Elite Mobile. I wouldn’t even let EliteMobile suffer the wrath of Peter Cheals’ business ethics with HellNOPeter so don’t even suggest I do.

All I want is my new Nokia. Where is my Nokia Elite Mobile?

    i wouldn’t even wanna order a phone from Elite if that’s how you people operate!

    Is it not easier/faster to walk into a Vodacom store and upgrade that way? Elite Mobile are a typical SA company that cannot get the whole online to offline distribution model correct.

    Elite Mobile not only sucks, they are dishonest as well. I ordered a Nokia 6110 Navigator, and paid the amount necessary to get it with Weekend + (R1149.- plus R150.- for upgrading). They could not deliver, so I got a N76, which is free with Weekend +. They never paid the R1149.- back. Calling does not help – they just give you the run-around.

    What is the address of these crooks???

    Elite mobile contacted me for my upgrade and told me that with my family top up i would receive R115.00 worth of airtime i am still waiting after 5 months.ELITE YOU GIVE BISSNESS A BAD NAME.PLEASE DONT TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY WIL GET THINGS THEN THEY WAIT FOR NOTHING.I CALLED TEN TIMES AND STILL NOTHING.

    ordered a e65 nokia from elite mobile ,4 days later i phoned to be told the phone is no longer available, started again nokia n82 this time fithteen days later today i get told sorry the waybill is incorect that was for the e65 we will phone you.

    So, I am not the only one complaining about ELITE MOBILE REALLY SHIT SERVICE. I got my phone on a family top up. First they put me on the wrong package, then instead of doing a sim swop they added a 2nd cellphone contract to my bill. A phone I don’t even have.

    I have contacted them on numerous occassions and have send about 20 e-mails (no joke) and all I got for my trouble was 2 sms’s and 4 e-mail (auto generated), to say that they are working on it, for 6 months!! I don’t think so! Then I founded out that they have insured my cellphone, against my instructions, which I promptly cancelled myself.

    I have no contacted GET CLOSURE! Let’s see what happens!
