With Matthew Buckland and Vincent Maher making their announcements today, thought I’d add my ‘change in direction’ stone to the pile. The duo are leaving M&G while I’ll be leaving Quirk eMarketing at the end of July.
So I’m going to be taking off the SEM Guru & Web AddiCT hat and officially just be Web AddiCT. Yip, says so on my contract. Sometimes it does help talking about yourself in the the third person on this blog, and on twitter (where it started).
What and where will Your Web AddiCT be going/doing?
I’m going to be joining the global Research & Development unit of MIH Internet which is called SWAT (Strategic Worldwide Applications & Technologies) will be doing my Web AddiCT thing for the companies pictured in the diagram above. South African’s will probably notice 24.com AND MXit as part of this impressive portfolio. My role will be to develop new and improve/tweak existing products, provide a strategic advisory service to the group and a few more things I can’t really discuss in the public timeline.
There you have it. I’m looking forward to wwworking with awesome people
