wow, it’s taken quite a while to reach us, but it’s finally there!
I’m using an HTC magic in London, and really looking forward to Android 2.0 … with the new Google Maps Navigator… that’s going to be awesome
it gives me hope to come back to SA in a couple of years time.. will be
brilliant to use the same features in Joburg as I have here

looks like the Google Maps URL they sent me in the press release is wrong. It should be http://maps.google.co.za

This is a great step forward for the South African internet. I even believe it will help tourism to a degree in a strange way. Quite often I get an irate Englishman doing their research on South Africa asking me why there is no decent mapping service in SA!
