I'm trying to find a Google Android phone in SA, and this is the closest I've got so far :)

Really like the phone Rafiq. Tried a few friends phones running Android and very impressed.

A friend of mine is running Android on the HTC Hero and after using it for a few minutes I was really impressed and the responsiveness, speed and usability of the OS (even though the TouchFlow stuff was courtesy of HTC)- the fact that you can actually multitask makes it a more attractive option to me than the iPhone or iPad even.

That phone looks pretty sweet! Been toying with custom roms on my Universal for a while - still waiting for an android rom for it, but this OpenMoko looks like its going to be the new phone to customize :)

OpenMoko? Mo 'ko in Filipino is "me". So OpenMoko can be translated as "you open me". Mmmmmm... love to have and "open" that phone myself

I wanted a Freerunner when back when I thought that their OS would succeed. Too bad, but its still a nice phone!

It's a little disappointing that a phone called an Android doesn't yet look like Summer Glau in the Terminator TV show. Oh well, give it a few years and the tech will catch up.

As an avid iPhone user - I can't really imagine switching over. However, I've never used Android and my curiousity is boiling over. So, yes. Comment.

Wining would be cool as I never win anything and I love checking out new things. Besides this phone seems to be the next big thing!

Wow, great stuff Rafiq. I'm betting big on Android in 2010, following suit to many mobile makers.
Forget Linux versus Mac OS X versus Windows 7. The real battle in 2010 is going to be on mobile phones. And most players I think the battle will be in Android. I would love to have the opportunity to own one. I feel undressed without my Mobile on me, soon I will feel undressed not having an Android phone. the OpenMoko Neo Freerunner (wow, that's quite a mouthful) sounds quite interesting, can't help but think it was a prelude to the Nexus One, which has clearly become all the rage... that said, i'd still be over the moon to own an OpenMoko - Google It!

I love gadgets and new technology, so far when it comes to mobile devices, I have tried out symbian, windows mobile and also my favourate so far the iPhone os. I would love to try out the #android os, without buying it of course.. ;)

Nice laptop ;o) I got an old'ish powerbook G4 with Ubuntu 9.04 installed. Oh, the fone aint that bad. Dude, compliments of the new year. Code on...

Google Android is pretty awesome. Apple has some stiff competition.

Super commentary coming out of the US about the Droid phone running Android. Really keen to try out an Android phone to be part of the excitement.

i've heard mad things about this phones interlinking capabilities...the geeks are gonna have a field day (myself included)...i'm looking forward to more developments along this thread!
