I’ve been blown away by the interest in the OpenMoko, one of only 5 phones that run Google Android in South Africa. Here is how the final draw determining the winner of the Google Android phone will work. I’ve decided to add another gadget to sweeten the pot too…

In order to get the OpenMoko to run Google Android you’ll need to install it using a micro-sd card. We will therefore be including a 2 GIG micro-SD card AND a USB SD Card reader into the prize with the OpenMoko Neo Freerunner. As there are four ways to enter, randomly drawing the winner is a little tricky so this is how the winner will be determined:

First the source of entry will be determined: Will the winner either be from a comment (50 so far), a retweet (101 entires so far), a member of the Web AddiCT(s); Facebook Fan Page (nearly at 300) or write a blog post linking to this competition post (only 5 entries).

If the blog post winning source will be random.org’ly selected then the following 5 individuals will have a 20% chance of winning.

  1. Aslam Levy
  2. iGeek
  3. NightHawk
  4. Afro-puffs
  5. Yusuf K

It is still not to late to do any one of the above four to win the OpenMoko. But writing a blog post will definitely increase your chances *hint hint*

Only 3 blog posts so far? Thats shocking, but hey atleast I'm one of the 3, better chance of winning.

  2. AslamLevy says:

iGeek already has a Android phone o.O
I've got my entry in each category… holding thumbs >.<

  3. Gerhard says:

LOL getting sneaky I see, one can never have too many. Can the NEO run the new Android 2.1?

  4. AslamLevy says:

;D Man's gotta try. You seen my current HTC – explains my desparation…
PS. Check http://code.google.com/p/android-on-freerunner/... on the NEO's Android version. I see cupcake and eclair listed.

  5. Kim says:

Unfair to hint around the blogpost Rafiq. Maybe you must just keep the phone within your close circle of friends

  6. This has nothing to do with friends. The winner will be randomly selected. I'd like to see more blog posts to even out everyones chances.

  7. ngeny says:
