Got to MIH SWAT this morning to find an HTC Hero on my desk. Another phone that runs Google Android. So now the collection of mobile phones that run Google Android are the OpenMoko Neo Freerunner (win one here), Samsung Galaxy Spica (win 3 here) and now the HTC Hero.
This is where I need you help with the HTC hero…
I am aware that the HTC Hero have many roms available but where can I find them? Instead of just Googling my way to an answer I’d rather trust you, the readers of this blog who owns an HTC hero. So please comment below with the best place to find everything I’ll need to start customizing the HTC Hero. Thank you in advance

http://hero.modaco.com is probably your best bet. The XDA Forums are chaos, and HTCPedia is in its infancy.
Two chefs you can rely on are Paul (owner of Modaco) and jnwhiteh (Jim Whitehead II). LoxDev tries hard, but I'm not too fond of his ROMs, as they're quite hacky.

I run HTC Dream with Cyanogenmod it's pretty neat.
Cyanogenmod is currently *NOT* supported, I believe you can try AmonRa's Mod
