1 Comment 23 May 2011

According to this blog’s Google Analytics anyways. Did you know your could segment your Google Analytics to show only mobile browsers? The details on how to create an advanced segment in Google Analytics to show only Mobile web traffic is explained in the video below.

Herewith the Top 10 Mobile Browsers to this blog:

  1. SymbianOS
  2. Android
  3. BlackBerry
  4. Nokia
  5. iPhone
  6. Samsung
  7. Windows
  8. Sony
  9. iPad
  10. iPod

Nokia accounts for 43.15% of all mobile browsers! Seeing that almost half of mobile browsers use Nokia devices this blog will be available as a Nokia Ovi store app soon.

iOS devices (iPhone, iPod and iPad) only account for 8.5% of all traffic. Are you still considering wasting money on an iOS app when only 8.5% of your customers are using it? Idiotic if you ask me. Compare the Top 10 Mobile Phones in South Africa from a few months back and you’ll notice a pattern.

Only reason why SymbianOS is on top is due to the legacy Nokia had in the market. How about including Opera Mini/Mobile in this list? I am pretty sure it would rank high as most people who are not satisfied with the performance of their native browsers or are on a budget opt for Opera.
