(1725-1793)Joseph Roux – a hydrographer from Marseille, map publisher, manufacturer of navigating instruments. King of France granted him permission to be called “Hidrographe du Roy”.
In 1764 Joseph Roux published a series of 12 charts of the Mediterranean; he simultaneously published atlas of Mediterranean harbor charts. There are several editions of this atlas, containing different number of maps. Our edition consists of 120 plates.
