I later considered switching to using Microsoft’s Active Server Pages, but found laptop development easier using PHP and Apache server.

That was a comment by Mark Garbers, the co-creator of iblog, during an ITweb interview regarding his choice of using LAMP (Linux, Apahce, MySQL, PHP) instead of the usual IIS & ASP.net.
