Panning for Ruby along the NewsRiver 👐 Web AddiCT 🇿🇦

There must be something wrong if blogging is the last thing A Web AddiCT does, in this case something right. Maybe it can be called The ITWeb effect? *cough* /. *cough*

Even checking this blogs statistics have been pushed to last on the daily to-do list. What has NewsRiver got to do with this post? While checking the stats and noticing the number of aggregators (Personailsed Google & Bloglines to name a few) hitting this site I noticed something new, NewsRiver.org. I have a look and see…

NewsRiver is a desktop aggregator that runs in the OPML Editor application, an open source outliner that can also run applications such as NewsRiver.

You may see references to this page in your referer logs, that’s because every time a NewsRiver user checks your feed, the HTTP request includes a link to this page as its referer.

Go, man, go! Ruby on Rails is da bomb!

Although, in a way, it sucks because it caused me to search relentlessly for a Rails-capable webhost in South Africa for the last year… 😉
