free SMS (Vodacom4me or Cell C) from your phone

Why are you still sending SMS when you can WhatsApp instead?

The GPRS Genius in the blogroll has done it again. Have you tried gong to vodacom4me or the cell C site via your cell phone’s browser and been unable to access the free sms text messages? It doesn’t have to be that way anymore.
DefZA has created a brilliant webpage for your phone that enables you send send your 20 free vodacom4me sms using your phones browser 🙂 or however many free text messages Cell C gives you daily.

Vodacom4me users go to wap.defza.com/voda on your cell (mobile) phone browser to send free sms

CellC users go to wap.defza.com/cellc on your phones browser.

I agree with Rafiq…100% awesome and easy too! I was restricted to sending the free sms’s from my work pc…now…WHENEVER!!!! U can use the same site to actually register via cellphone…bloody marvelous. Now looking forward to the promised mms option (watch defza for more.)

TYFYC ingrid. Haven’t spent a cent on sending sms messages thanks to mobile instant messaging and defza’s great tool. I think it could be one of the reasons Vodacom subscribers are spending less 😉

Having gone onto yr site and reading 2 or max 4 pages cost me R12-68 in airtime (Pay as you Go). That’s awfully expensive!!!!

There doesn’t seem to be a limit on how many SMS you can send.

Hi to send email to SMS just send a SMS to 37002 with the words TOPUP and then your email address and once done you can then send emails using the format cellphonenumber@chatta.co.za to send 160 charactor SMS’s .

I did not know about that defza website, but I found another similar one – http://www.freevodasms.co.za – it also lets you send Vodacom SMSes from your Cellphone through your Vodacom4me account. It is a bit different to defza though – you can bookmark a contact (or sending profile )and load the page to send a message instantly, it’s nice and quick – very good for sending messages to my girlfriend and I set it up so that she can contact me for free as well.

Before i write my letter to the newspaper and phone the radio talk show hosts I want to know WHY tonight on the 1st November, 2008 it was impossible to connect with the emergancy 112? All my phone kept saying was ATTEMPTING TO CONNECT WITH EMERGANCY NUMBER???????? There was nothing wrong with my phone or signal as i immediatly phoned another numer and the call went though….
