How to get new vistors to your website, Seth Godin style

I subscribe to Seth Godin‘s blog RSS on my Google/ig (personalized homepage) and found it rather odd that his 5 mistakes entrepreneurs make when they market post only to be a link to another site.

Why? I wondered and then had a closer look at where he was sending us. The old school hit counter, something we all had in 1999, which has been reborn as Feedburner’s feedcounter gave his game away.

A Group of Web AddiCT(s); feedcounter subscribers have nearly doubled since implementing a 301 redirect to Feedburner using this WordPress plugin. This is not 1999 so I’m not going to tell you how many there are.

If only a very tiny percentage of internet users use RSS, WorkHappy must have many many readers. There you have it.
