Clearly Africa is the latest and greatest trend. First Brad and Angie had baby Shiloh there, then Gwyneth declared she was African, then George Clooney went all Darfur on us and now The GAP, Apple, Motorola, American Express and even us here at Sugar Publishing are going RED in support of a place in need.
Today on Oprah, Bono will announce some exciting new product launches to raise money to fight AIDS in Africa. As Bono says, “Shop ’till it stops.”

I don’t know how long it will take for us here in South Africa to get to see today’s Oprah show, but with big names like Bono, Oprah, Penelope Cruz, Don Cheadle, Chris Rock, Christy Turlington, Steven Spielberg and big companies like The GAP, Apple, Motorola and American Express coming together to do the (red) thing… it shouldn’t be long before we will al be hearing alot more about AIDS in Africa and what we can do to help.
