24.com campaign Short Circuits
“Input, Input! I need input!” That is Johnny number 5’s words throughout the Short Circuit series of movies. The people behind 24.com new search engine are using a low budget movie charater as the characters avatar, named twofour. Actually it’s Johnny number 5, not two four.
If our Web AddiCT is not mistaken a search engine is supposed to give us output in the form of Search Engine Results Pages (SERP). What input does 24.com require from us, except that ripping a movie character might be costing them a great deal of their advertising budget or a lawsuit as a result of using a character without anyones permission (if they do not have permission) ?
Would you like Google Search results from sites created by other AddiCT(s);? Real people who are really good at what they do? Have a look at Your Web AddiCT(s); Google Search. We’ve only included South African websites created by passionate South Africans, no copyright infringed robots charaters, just real South African people.
As the Quirkstart Darren points out:
What makes blogs successful is that theyรยขรขโยฌรขโยขre supposed to give a real look inside a web entity, whether that entity be an individual or a company. Real people connect to other real people, itรยขรขโยฌรขโยขs a fundamental human trait.
Your Web AddiCT will not be linking to the artificial twofour blog or search engine until a human face appears as their avatar. Good luck vs Google, ananzi is a no-brainer.
