African ICT Achiever Awards live on SABC Africa 👐 Web AddiCT 🇿🇦

Live Broadcast
On 25th November 2006, the African ICT Achiever Awards Banquet will be broadcasted live on SABC Africa therefore all guests are to be seated by 18h00 promptly. Cell phones must be switched off during the awards ceremony. Interviews for winners to take place immediately after they have received the award, someone will usher the winner to the backstage.

It is goodd thing that my Nokia N70 is not a cell phone, it is a personal multimedia computer. Your Web AddiCT(s); will be click-click-post-to-blog happy. One thing missing from the list of African ICT achievers sponsors/partners is an African Airline company. With the cost of broadband in South, and the rest of, Africa maybe it would be cheaper to take a plane to Timbuktu with a USB flash disk filled with data than sending it via HTTP or FTP. Do not send large attachments via email.
Bandwidth is a basic business essential and extremely expensive compared to the rest of the world. Lets replace bandwidth with the other business essential, water. If you compare bottled water to normal H2O we should consider ourselves lucky to be surfing in bottled water compared to the rest of the world wide web.

I know you’re raving about your Nokia, I have the N70… you know, the one Nokia that they have decided to change the power supplier on! aargh! It’s frustrating!

I’ve forgotten/purposely left my charger in Stellenbosch, with the thought that the little adapter is in Cape Town, and now someone has misplaced it… now I’m about 2 hours away from battery dead time. Stupid Nokia engineers.

TYFYC Uno – Clever Nokia engineers! I now carry that little charger adapter that allows you to charge the N70 on any old nokia charger in the small pocket of my jeans as almost everyone I know has a nokia and can pop it onto any Nokia Charger (needed when you use MXti too much). I’d like to thank the Nokia engineers for creating the smallest most portable phone charger I’ve ever seen/used.
