Ananzi write their own obituary by Flying Mango
I’ve metioned Ananzi, our local banner advertising search engine company a few times before.
They tried selling us banner ads for keywords we’re already on top of ananzi for, hidden the search between the ads on the front page (Last time I checked) and now have written their obituary on BizCommuntiy.
Mango Airlines is a low cost extension of South African Airways and the popularity of the keyword, which was previously used for searches based on the fruit, was extracted from a statistical report by the search engine.
Online marketing company Acceleration have partnered with the airline to flight online interactive advertisements on Ananzi.co.za. Since the launch of the online campaign, the keyword “mango” and derivatives thereof yielded 1,942 searches in total last month. The keyword “mango” produced 692 searches and “mango airlines” produced 486 searches within the month of November alone.
“mango airlines” produced 486 searches on Ananzi in the month which the all media was buzzing with mango news and the SAA owned company launched.
Your Web AddiCT mentioned Mango Airlines for the first time on 3 December on this blog. Then asked you about the service on mango airlines if you went to fly with mango.
After looking at this blogs stats 5 days after mentioning the new South African low-cost carrier for the first time.
- Refering Searches that brought you to this blog for the term mango airlines in 5 days nearly doubles the number of times mango airlines was searched for on Ananzi in one month (the month Mango launched).
- Mango-related Search phrases that lead you here in 5 days is nearly 400% morethan Ananzi’s in one month.
