a Google Mobile Phone by 2008?
rumours are starting to circulate that Google may be doing a deal with smartphone manufacturer, HTC, to build a Google Phone presumably loaded with mobile Google apps and not based on Windows Mobile. HTC has built some pretty impressive phones, some of which are being marketed here in South Africa. If I were a Windows Mobile user, I would be clamouring to get myself one of these HTC smartphones.
Chili, you Bean I was reading my dailyhourly dose of RSS and this popped up, Woot Woot. GigaOM reports that the great Googlers are might be building Your Web AddiCT(s); dream. As we head into 2007 with a bunch of Geeks for Dinner in Cape Town I’d like to share Your Web AddiCT(s); thoughts on the Google Mobile Phone and how it could apply to the many many mobile users here in South Africa at the Cape TOwn Geekdinner v2.0, Summer in Cape Town.
If you cant make it to the Cape TOwn Geekdinner, I’ll post a really long mashup of how I’d use the Google phone to run my shizniz after the dinner.
Google Reader, Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Apps for your domain, Gmail, Google Talk all rolled into a Google Mobile Phone by 2008? Why do you get excited when Apple prepends an ‘i’ to phone?
Just one question will the MXit Instant Messaging Mobile application work on phone that was custom built for the Google? Will Google gobble MXit? Did I say one question?
