A blog is a conversation, I posted a comment on The Bush Radio Newsroom blog yesterday still the Bush Radio Newsroom have not responded even though there are 4 new ‘news’ post avilable.

This is what the Bush Radio Newsroom blog claims to be about:

Bush Radio 89.5 fm is the Mother of Community Radio in Africa. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Bush Radio exists with the sole purpose to uplift, develop and educate the communities it serves.

If Bush Radio exists to uplift, develop & educate the Cape Town community lets look at their newest blog posts:

The Port Elizabeth magistrate, who committed suicide in his chambers last week, did so because the fight against crime had become too much for him, it was said at his funeral.

Has Port Elizabeth become part of the Cape Town community?

Mayor Helen Zille flew back from her holiday in Keurboomstrand near Plettenberg Bay yesterday to attend a crucial meeting on 2010 ahead of provincial governmentรƒยขรขโ€šยฌรขโ€žยขs decision on the rezoning of Green Point Stadium.

Some light.

A Phoenix man was arrested for holding his son hostage in KwaZulu Natal….The SABC website reports that an arrangement to counsel the child had been made.

In the dark.

A man has died on New Yearรƒยขรขโ€šยฌรขโ€žยขs Day after a wave threw him off his quad bike at Pearly Beach.

Uplift? Develop? Am I missing something. I sent them an email asking why they haven’t responded at the start of this blog post. They responded in less than 30 minutes…

Hi

Thank-you for the feedback. Nadia will get back to you.

Great, Nadia Samie is the Bush Radio Newsroom Trainee News Editor. If you are wondering why Your Web AddiCT is making such a big fuss over this, I love Cape Town & I love bush Radio. I’ve learn’t more from listening to Bush Radio in the early hours of the morning than any other commercial Radio Station based in Cape Town.

Bush Radio are probably one of the first Radio stations in South Africa to embrace blogging. The Bush Radio Newsroom blog has been in existence since October 2005.

Once Nadia Samie has responded to my comment, Part 3 will probably be me raving about the Bush Radio newsroom blog instead of ranting. We’ll have to wait and see.
