fingâ„¢ is, as taken from their website, which best describes it, a mobile application that allows you to make mobile calls and send instant messages (chat) to other fring users and PC-based VoIP services such as Skype, Google Talk and MSN Messenger at no extra cost beyond your existing data plan. fring calls cost nothing extra because they utilize GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi mobile internet connections.
I’m loving it. It’s just one those applications you must have on your phone, and it’s easy to use, which is a bonus.
After downloading the fring application to your phone via an sms, just open up the fring application, enter your skype, Google Talk and/or MSN Messenger login details in the settings and fring will automatically login you in and get your contacts for those accounts.
You can minimize the application to run in the background on the phone and continue regular phone operations. When someone wants to chat to or call you via Skype, GTalk or MSN, fring automatically comes to the forefront to alert you.
Only problem is, fring is only available on the newer smart phones, so if you got an older phone, you probably won’t be able to use it, but check it out anyways.
