5 Questions with Rob Stokes (Quirk CEO) after WebPR+
The only 2 people you’ll find on Your Web AddiCT(s); MXit in the weee hours of the morning: Miguel & Rob Stokes. MXit is a Jabber service & so is Google Talk. (success 2.0)
Had this idea while MXit’n, ask th organizers of Web PR+ what they learnt from Web PR +, A conference about Web 2.0.
* Your most memorable moment at Web PR+:
Definitely a question from the Cape Town audience where the lovely lady referred to creating a link as รยขรขโยฌร โmaking the text blue and underlining itรยขรขโยฌ?. Classic!
**What was the most valuable lesson you learnt from the Web PR+ conference?
From the amount of interest that was shown and the amount of positive feedback we have received, the biggest thing I learnt was that South Africa is at last ready and eager to learn about the benefits which eMarketing can bring to a business.
***How does Web PR+ fit into Quirk’s Vision?
WebPR is an important part of the online marketing mix. We will continue to use it wherever it offers our client a good return on their investment. As for the WebPR+ Conference. We felt that whilst South Africaรยขรขโยฌรขโยขs marketing and PR industry have many excellent practitioners, the knowledge of the eMarketing approach to things was lagging behind global trends. These events were created with the aim of changing that.
****Catering at Web PR+, better in Jozi or Cape Town?
Cape Town, I was really impressed by the entire show put on by the BMW Pavillion, they were an excellent host. To be honest I felt a little let down by Indaba.
*****Summarize Web PR+ in a 6-word-story.
