IBM’s ThinkPlace Challenge Now Open to the Public

Found on WorldChanging. IBM announced on Tuesday its first ever public ThinkPlace Challenge, “a 3-week open forum designed to foster global collaboration on innovation opportunities and economic development issues facing the African continent”.

The top ideas generated through the ThinkPlace Challenge will help shape the agenda for IBM’s upcoming Global Innovation Outlook (GIO) focus on Africa, and provide longer-term input for IBM’s World Development Initiative (WDI).

Previously IBM’s Innovation Jam, as it was called, was only open to it’s 150,000 employees, their famliy members, clients, business partner’, etc and funded 10 idea’s to the tune of $10 million each.

Closing date for ideas is 25th May and 46 ideas have been already posted so far for the challenge, so head on over, check it out and share your ideas.
