MXit’s colour and clickable text
Note: The following only applies to v5.4 and higher MXit users
Coloured text? how’s this possible?
Well its simple. You can achieve coloured text in a MXit conversation by placing an HTML colour code infront of your message.
HTML Colour Code?? Huh? whats that?
Its a 6 character phrase consisting of both numbers and letters, and always starting with a “#” sign.
Where do I get these codes??
They can be easily found on google, but heres a chart to help you out. Simply place the code in front of your text.
Remember to add a # in front of each code!
Eg. Say you wanted to say “Hey love” in pink coloured text, You would write it like this: “#FF0099 Hey Love”
And it will come out in your desired colour.
Heres a few pictures to further guide you.
I type in the code.
This is the result
The clickable text feature is rather useless but nice to know.
Simply put dollar signs on each side of your message and your text will be selectable by other users, when the scroll to it it will highlight your text and they can select it, once they select it they will say what you sent.
Like in Menus when you highlight “1” and select it, then you send a message saying “1”
Eg. If you want “press here if you think I’m cool” to be selectable you write it as “$ Select here if you think I’m cool $”
I’m pretty sure these features will be added the the MXit markup options in future releases.
