How To Access Blocked sites at Work/School

So you wanna get onto Myspace, Or Youtube etc? But your Company/School has put blocks on certain websites.

Heres a Method you can use to access these sites.

Note: Only tested it with youtube and myspace so far, not certain if it will work with all sites.

Step One

Goto This Site

Step Two
Now type the URL of your Desired site you would like to access In the Box and Hit GO

Now copy th IP(The Number seperated By dots)
And Paste it into your URL Bar, hit go, and the website will load.

Another way to Obtain the IP of a website:
Only if your school or company allows access to CMD

Goto start>Run… and Type cmd.exe In the Box that appears and hit ok.

Now Cmd.exe will appear.
Type ping www.YOU WEBSITE HERE.com

Now copy the IP and type it into the URL bar in your browser, and Hit go.

DNS edits don’t work for my school, neither does proxies. But my school admin obviously didn’t realize this method 🙂

What would you do if they block the IP? Lists of proxies they block, too. Very often… For that, I’m using the http://strongvpn.com VPN account. Nice program, nice deal, very simple to use. The traffic encryption, IP hidden, supports help… This is why I’ve got it.

Check out http://www.proxylord.com to access blocked web sites. It is very fast and secure. Works on Youtube also!

I use http://www.fishandchips.co.cc at school. It’s works… for now 😛

My school surely will block any website after a few days. If the IT admin find out too many request and bandwidth usage for any website, they will surely check the website and block it. (except wikipedia and education site lol)

Actually the first option work but not properly, i could access utube but i couldn’t watch any movie.
In addition, i could also access facebook just the sign in page but after that the log in page didn’t appear it is also blocked.
And about the second option it didn’t work.

You should definitely try using Freedur, it works really well when it comes to accessing blocked sites with it, you can surf anonymously and the setup is very easy.

I tried to use the method you provided by ping facebook and i got the ip address, I then copied it to my browser but when i tried to login to facebook i got this message “The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website’s address.” “Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server. “

I found most proxies to be pretty unreliable…

That will only work with DNS blocks. If the IP address is black-listed, the trick will not work.
Or you could get a VPN service to unblock all sites. This one worked good for me even from behind network firewalls: http://www.sunvpn.com/

You should try Hotspot Shield VPN ( http://www.hotspotshield.com/access-youtube ) to get access all blocked websites at school or work.
