Now over a billion internet users
Just saw on Economist.com today, China is the number one Internet user in the world, overtaking USA from just a few months a ago. Interestingly, looking at comScore’s graph below, the top 3 internet users, China, USA and Japan cover 40% of the internet users in the world.
Over 1/6th the worlds population is now on the Internet, actually a lot more, since this metric excludes anyone under the age of 15, mobile devices and internet cafe’s.
I wonder what the statistics for these cases are? If we included would the under 15’s, mobiles and Internet cafes, How would the graph change? Would we have 2 billion users instead of one?
