Jay-Z & predicting a Twitter Trend
Jay-Z’s new album The Blueprint 3 is about to be released and various tracks have supposedly been leaked before it’s official release date. The first track that leaked, Death of Autotune (DOA), poked at rappers making songs for iTunes, ring tones and Synthesizers to alter their voices.
The DOA song was the first to start the jay-z trend on twitter. When the run this town video embedded above, from the official Jay-Z YouTube account, aired on MTV in Europe. Those in the Western hemisphere, who couldn’t wait for the Run This Town video to be aired on their local ‘official’ channels either went to the MTV European sites themselves to watch it or watched Run This Town ‘ripped’ off MTV and uploaded it to video sharing sites. This caused another Jay-Z twitter trend. Another track, ‘Off that’, that was supposedly leaked caused yet another twitter trend.

at 1:53 PM Aug 31st from feedalizr. Immediately after, like clockwork the Jay-Z trend to outperform all previous Death of Auto Tune-, Run This Town- and Off That trends.
Take one part popular rapper, the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack or inside job (depends on who you speak to) and a donation to the the wives and kids of the police & firefighters who lost their loved ones on that particular day. What do you get? A perfect day to host a concert in New York and probably launch the Blueprint 3 album.
