New theme’s AddiCTive metrics
On 1 October 2009 the new Web AddiCT(s); theme went live. It is still very early to measure real changes as more data over a longer period of time is needed but some of the visitor metrics available from Google Analytics looks promising. The following images will represent a reduction in bounce rate and an increase in page views per user. This clearly shows that people who come to the site (majority from search engines) are now finding what they are looking for and the increase in page views demonstrate that the related content that is easily accessible from each post is relevant to the information they are searching for and finding ๐
The following images display the positive change in page views and decrease bounce rate since the new theme has been live.

I have personally never seen a site with a bounce rate of 1% before have you? To me, this demonstrates that crowdsourcing the design of this blog has benefited everyone. I’d like to thank every one of you who assisted and gave constructive criticism in putting the design together. No the background is not peach it’s the colour of honeycomb. If you are wondering what this has done to the Advertising revenue stay tuned. I’ll post that soon.
